Edinburgh rejections??

I'm so confused, I got the email with "Thank you for your application to study medicine at the University of Edinburgh. We would like to reassure you that you will hear from our Admissions Team by the end of December to let you know if you have been shortlisted to attend one of our Assessment Days." However, I'm also hearing of people who got rejections. I'm just unsure of what's happening. Could people who already got rejected tell me when they did please?
