Question On Sonos Ceiling Speakers

Hi all! I'm thinking of installing the Sonos Architectural ceiling speakers (here) but have one question - is each speaker treated as a seperate device by Sonos so that I can play different music from each or are the pair treated as a single device, so you can only play 1 song through them both at the same time?

Any and all help greatly appreciated!
