Best edrums around $2,500?

Hey everyone. I’m ready to upgrade my Millennium MPS1000 (the hi hat fills me with rage).

What, IYO, is the best kit around the 2-3k price point? I’m looking for something to record with and play for fun. No live performance needs. Size is a factor—a smaller footprint than a typical 4/5-piece acoustic is preferred.

Thanks!
