Question about Story quests
I’ve been out of the MH loop for awhile, playing World when it initially released. Before that I played a lot in ps2, wii, ds, and switch.
I was so excited about MHW when it initially came out, but after maybe 20-30 hours of playing, I realized there were a lot mandatory, solo missions to be played before you couldnt play with friends. You could do a couple with friends intermittently but eventually you’d have to play a solo mission to advance the story, and [sometimes] wait for the option to send out an invite midmission. This seemed like a unnecessary hurdle for newer players and a slog for veteran players. I feel like the earlier games didn’t play out like that. Action/friend-time was pretty much a-go from the start (sans the obligatory forage/mining quests, but you could still do that with friends).
To advance and get bigger badder monsters felt like doing the opposite of what I want to do, which was to hunt with friends.
So my question is this: will Wilds’ story missions work similarly, or we dont know yet? Am I misremembering the way story missions played out?
Thanks for your input and hopefully that makes sense.
