Try not to be too blackpilled my fellow liberals.

Politics

I know this is not the vibe everyone is feeling after the election, but it's true we shouldn't lose all faith and hope. The fact we got biden in office in the first place is something to be celebrated when half the country has all these absolutely batshit crazy opinions about him and the presidency in general I guess now.

It may seem like everything is worse, to which that might be true in some ways. Just remember that half of this country has been reguarded since our inception and that we've been struggling with this shit since our founding, we should take solace in the fact that we're still fighting the same fight for a better future and not just giving up after every setback to insane people.

It's only been 60 years since we passed the civil rights act, 80 years since we became a global superpower (we coined the damn term) 126 years since we've been recognized as a real world power, 159 years since we abolished slavery through bloodshed and through some miracle 236 years since our constitution that we still follow was ratified.

Liberal democracy is not supposed to be easy, it's supposed to be difficult as fuck but the right thing to do. To get anything done in this country requires a slow molasses like amount of patience for incremental changes to happen, our lives work is going to be trying to make this country slightly less insane just like those who came before us so get used to the setbacks.

At least we're not republicans, that has to be worth something.
