What information can I give and not give a lawyer?

I was out of work and wasn’t able to pay on a loan for 3 months and got sent to court. I agreed to the debt and a payment plan to settle it. Their lawyer asked what amount can I give and gave my amount. Now he’s asking where do I work and what my salary is. Is that info I have to give him? Is there a way they can garnish the amount from my bank account directly each month? I have other debt I have to pay off from the months I was out of work.
