Benzos for opioid recovery?

So first if all, im totally aware that benzodiazepines are way worse than opioids in terms of addiciton.

I started using opioids on and off for 8 years now. In that time i managed to never get physically dependened. I had times where i used multiple days in a row, than took a couple days off before using again. I had phases where i used way more than i intended beforehand, but also times i didnt use any opioids for serveral months. I dont like opioids even too much, after using them for a couple of days in a row, they didnt really work at all anymore for me, even with increasing dosage and i didnt got that great of a high, so it was never a problem for me to stop after a coue of days.

I would say i dont got an addictive personality at all (luckily), but im fully aware its still a really slipperly slope, and personal traumatic events in life coule change that in an instand.

In the last couple of weeks, i got a bit overconfident and used way more than i usually do (i smoked 2,5h of heroin in the span of two weeks with barely some days off). I know nows the point i have to quit or it‘ll get way worse, so i threw the rest of my stash away.

Im now on my secone day clean, and i didnt really had servere withdrawl symptoms besides a little bit of a depressive mood here and there. But the worst was the night. I couldnt sleep at all and got RLS (Restless leg syndrome). Ive read its quite common to get that on opioid withdrawl but the night was really taxing on ky mental health.

So i also got a couple of benzos lying around (I usually use them for after raves, when im too stimmed up to sleep), but i never enjoyed taking them alone.

So now my question is, can I use benzos for the first days of opioid withdrawl for sleeping, and than like after 3-4 days stop taking them? I think it would really benefit my sleep the first days and i also need to be productive for Unisversity this week, so i cant really afford not sleeping another couple of nights.

As i said i know benzos are highly addictive and the withdrawl is way worse than from opioids.

But do you guya think it could be a good short-term solution for the first couple of days, or Is it too risky?
