My Love Letter to Impaling Thrust

Impaling Thurst; a simple ash of war, found at the very VERY beginning of the game. It’s not flashy, it’s doesn’t break the game, it doesn’t stand out in the slightest from the long list of very cool and very efficient/effective list of AoW options the game has….BUT….im here to let everyone know the truth

Impaling Thrust is a S+ tier ash that deserves to be praised and appreciated! Throw this ash on a great sword, great spear, halbard, spear, great katana whatever weapon type scratches that itch for you and watch as the bosses bow before you in reverence over and over and over again, the speed, the quick recovery frames, the low FP cost, combined with the stance AND counter damage makes this simple ash of war an absolute MONSTER in PvE. Use Impaling thrust with the claymore followed by an uncharged R2 it’s so fast, so easy to do, quick recovery, and SPAMABLE. Put it on the Messmer soldier spear for even bigger stance damage followed but the double hit R2 and proc statues and stance breaks in seconds. Put it on the Banished knights halbred or pike for insane range..

Anyway, I don’t see this Ash talked about a lot and if you’re looking for something simple yet insanely effective I couldn’t recommend this ash more
