TREK Adventure Bags Come Without Thumbscrews???????

I wanted to get a front-of-front-triangle bag for my Checkpoint and went to the Trek site cos they're the only ones making them the exact right size AND with the ability to attach them with thumbscrews instead of velcro straps. Trek bags are more expensive than what you can find on Amazon, but I thought the fact they were custom shaped and allowed thumbscrew attachment made it a worthwhile purchase (and I hope their quality is a notch or two above an Amazon bag).

However, I've come to learn that the bags don't actually come with thumbscrews, that you need to purchase them separately, and they're $11+tax for a pack of two! WTF??? The bag I want (pictured) requires 4 screws, so on top of the $85 it costs, I have to spend $22 for the screws???

I can get a similar bag on Amazon for $25, and the screws and washers at a hardware store for $2. I feel insulted by Trek; am I the only one? And what bags are y'all using for the front of the triangle? I want to store a thin rain jacket, keys and ID, and maybe some gels, so don't need much room.
