Kidney Disease?

Our girl Ripley will be 3 in March. She’s always been a bit more sensitive than our other ridgeback but two days ago she started vomiting with diarrhea. We brought her to the vet 12 hours after it began for blood work and tests. Her blood levels were crazy high and we immediately brought her in to the emergency vet for fluids and hospitalization.

We’re waiting on results and expect her to be there for a few days at least.They did say her kidneys looked malformed and she has a heart murmur. Not sure if it’s congenital or a bacterial infection. Still running a battery of tests.

Have any of you had Ridgebacks with kidney issues? She’s so young and doesn’t seem typical of the breed. I’m just so worried about it being chronic and her quality of life. We’ll do anything we can to save her.
