Dutch tret newbie: questions about my routine ☺️

Routine Help

Hello tret community, What great info here and lovely helpful people! I have already read a lot and found useful info 🙏🏼

I am going to start with tret but I have a few questions. Can you advise me?

I am from the Netherlands and have the tret from Spain over the counter, the lowest 0.025 (because I want to be very careful, and also start with 1 x per week) So there is no dermatologist involved that I can ask questions.

I am 40 and I am quite irritated by the wrinkles on my forehead and the structure of my skin (pores). I do not have acne or anything so it is mainly for old age and anti-wrinkle complaints. I am also irritated by the 'bags' and lines under my eyes but I am aware that you should not use tret around your eyes so I ofcourse will not do that.

Some info about my skin; I have a slightly tinted skin because my father is black from the Caribbean, and my mother white from the Netherlands. I'm not sure what skin type I have. I always thought I had oily skin because I get shiny very quickly. But over the past few months I've started to wonder if I don't have dry skin and that I get shiny because my skin is working hard to solve the dryness. To test that, I've removed a lot of my expensivr active ingredients from my routine and now have a very simple one layer routine that focuses mainly on hydration. My skin seems to like that very much so far. As soon as I start layering, I do get bumps, I think because of clogging, so I think I have sensitive skin. I've used retinol in the past. I also have freckles.

My questions are:

  1. Can I safely use the products below in combination with tret or are there substances in them that are not ok?
  2. I find it difficult to understand from the comments here what is best: First moisturizer, then tret. Or first stret, then moisturizer. How do you decide? And is it really nessicary since i am not a fan of layering.
  3. is it true that tret makes your freckles disappear? I think that would be a litte sad tbh.

My simple 1-layer routine: -In the morning: I rinse my face with water. And put on holy hydration cream from elf (including niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and peptides). The jar is almost empty so after that I wanted to buy the same one but with spf. But I also want to try the gel version (Allantoin, Squalane, prickly Pear)

-Evening: cleanse with a mix of holy hydration cleanser elf (hyaluronic acid and ceramides) and pure skin cleaner from elf (Oat Milk, Allantoin and Niacinamide, ceramides, hyaluronic acid). -Then a homemade mix of castor oil, jojoba oil, frankincense essential oil, myrrh essential oil.

Would all of this still be ok on tret or do you guys advice otherwise? Other helpfull comments and tips are ofcourse also welcome.

Thank you so much in advance! ❤️
