I’m thinking about building a pc for better performance and price point where should I start?

Hey yall I currently have a dell Inspiron gaming laptop. It was a 4gb Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 ti. One stick of 16gb ddr4 ram An i7-7700HQ @2.8Ghz one sata drive of 931 gb And a 128gb ssd that has defeated to 104 (according to windows)

For a decent build that is at least comparable to the performance I can get on my current laptop what sort of parts should I use? I tend to play a lot of games like dcs and fly out and my current system does struggle. I was thinking about a 4030 build or a 4090 build but I don’t know if it’s worth it?
