Anyone got an infinite ammo method in plain English for gs45?

I got it to level 31 and sally & mustang’d it but the ammo reserve is garbage. I watched a vid about the knife and mele mach stuff but it seemed like it only gave ammo to one half of the sally and not both. Any tips? Can’t keep wasting coin on ammo boxes
