Art assistant opportunity and answering any potential questions as a Artist

Hello everyone! I found about an Art assistant opportunity in a high school that I am interested in taking on, but I am not sure what the process will look like if they are interested in me. I am self-taught, have been doing Art for a decade, done multiple art festivals, earned few awards and recently my work was published in a collaborative book project. I took a break during COVID and a year after that due to multiple health scares, and I have got back into creating art again for a year now. without going into too much detail, this job is perfect in many ways, financially, emotionally and physically and aligns with my passion as well. My question is, if they reach out to me, how much information do I share regarding my breaks and why I am choosing this position. Please shed some light and advice on how to go about it.
