Are physical copies of 3D movies worth it?

I'm thinking about investing in a Blu-Ray drive and some physical copies of my favorite movies in 3D for ripping to the Quest, but I have some doubts:

• Blu-Ray only supports 1080p 3D
• Ripping the data will take 20+ minutes per Disc

Also, finding appropriate drives is hard because some sellers obfuscate or omit read speeds. And even if they did I'm not entirely sure if ripping data is limited to the ROM read speeds or can actually be faster in correlation to the other read speeds since you're not limited to playback; it'd be really helpful if someone had any data on that.
