Car oil data sheets?

I was trying to find a good oil for my car and came upon a ravenol fes 0w 30. I've been recommended 0w 20 amsoil ss bur I've looked at both the data sheets and ravenol seemed to give out better results. Higher VI, lower ccs viscocity lower pour point. Ravenol is 9.4 at 100c and amsoil is 8.8 at 100c. Do data sheets always portray real world application because I've heard alot of good things about amsoil not alot for ravenol. Thanks
