I’m stuck on base with no transportation. What do I do??

I’ve been trying to get my drivers license renewed with my home state for several months now, with no progress being made. Now my husband has deployed, so it’s just myself and our two cats living on base.

The commissary and exchange are within easy walking distance, so basic necessities are no problem. I work from home as well. The issue is that I have no way to get my cats to the vet for their vaccine renewals. I don’t know anyone here, so I can’t ask for a ride; and Uber drivers can’t get through the gate.

I don’t want to get into legal trouble, or get in trouble with housing, or any thing else over this. I don’t think I can put this off for much longer before somebody notices and it becomes an issue.

What do I do??
