I want to do wood burning art on an electric guitar. I still would like it to be of decent quality but not break the bank.

Doing this as a gift for a friend. He has many guitars and obviously prefers them to be a good quality. This guitar will be mostly about the art but I still want it to be playable and not a super cheap one off Amazon. Any suggestions? It obviously has to be something that doesn’t already have some kind of finish on it.
