Zergs Cabal is just Build Different at Negotiating
When I look at the Terran and Protoss Changes I feel like those are relatively small adjustments.
When I look at Zerg changes I feel like they are huge buffs that help Zerg most ways they are struggeling at:
Let me elaborate:
ZvP:
- Spore damage increase by 33%
- This helps so a lot against oracle harrassment. Oracle harrasment used to be one way of high skill expression. Hero could get tons of kills against Reynor while not getting any against Serral. This is now history with spore needing 8 Shoots instead of 11 to kill oracle.
- Hatch minerals reduced
- Makes Hatch blocking much harder or less economic for toss. Hatch Blocking is good for early game harrassment. Yet another nerf to PvZ early game
- Immortal nerf (9% lesser attackspeed for 9 % lesser mineral costs)
- Midgame nerf of the only Ground comp which can decently trade against lurkers.
- Also strengtens roach allins
- Tempest Range
- Lategame nerf so the tempest are exposed easier to Yoinks and Corruptors do not have to cuddle so close with the archon ball
They traded all this for Mama Core. Which is a Lategame Protoss Buff. I do feel that Zergs just get so much help in early games. I also doubt that Queens being 25 more minerals are such a big deal especially in Zvp.
Honestly that reminds me at the Creep Spread nerf where everybody said it is huge nerf but not it turned out that even Serral does not spreadcreep on Cooldown.
ZvT:
- Ghost supply increase by 50%
- While Ghosts are op, Ghosts are also the only way to deal with high amor units (Ultras effectivly). Ghosts probabaly needed a nerf but this is very volatile number to adjust.
- Zerg gets buffed here hugely in ZvT Mid to Lategame
TLDR: I do think that Zergs are the clear winners of the Patch because they are the Kings of Negotiating.
