MRI mouth tumor

so i had a benign tumor(mouth palate) removed 5 yrs ago, since then i have done 2 CT scans to follow up, now my doctor wants me to do one last one, however i asked to do a mri instead due to radiation exposure, would a 1.5t wide bore mri machine with contrast be sufficient to get detailed images? will it compare to the previous ct scans?

i was scheduled for a 3T but due to anxiety i asked for a wide bore. just to clarify. and they did reschedule me, so my assumption is the images the machine creates should be sufficient ?

any input would be appreciated
