Are "Lumineers" considered "laminate veneers"? Or are these two different things?

I went for a cosmetic consultation and my dentist recommended I get "luminate veneers"

I asked if Lumineers were "luminate veneers" and he had no idea what Lumineers were

I'm looking online and see a lot of dentists near me do Lumineers and I'm wondering if these are the same thing?

I'm not getting a clear answer from my research
