How much can an insurance agent earn?
How much can an insurance agent earn? If agents are saying they can make up to 45% commission from the monthly premiums paid by friends, family, or relatives, doesn’t that mean 45% of what they pay goes directly to the agent? Then, the insurance company would also take its share, along with management fees and other charges. So, realistically, less than half of what clients pay may actually go toward their policy coverage. I understand that commissions are part of many industries, not just insurance, but if I were a client and my agent told me that 50% of my payment didn’t actually benefit me directly, I’d find it a bit disappointing.
