**Summary**

This drama mainly tells the story of the investigation of the Hegang '128' armed robbery case that shocked the whole country in 1995. The play tells the story of Qin Chuan who graduated from the police academy and returned to his hometown to become a police officer at the police station. By chance, Qin Chuan subdued a gangster who was about to set off an explosion, thus starting his criminal police career. Under the leadership of his superiors, he gradually grew up and matured, and eventually became an excellent Chinese criminal policeman.

**Synopsis**

In the 1990s, in Hechang City, Zhongchang Province, grassroots policeman Qin Chuan relied on his own efforts to pursue further studies and finally became a criminal policeman as he wished. After his master Gao Jianshe and his good friend Ye Maosheng died heroically, Qin Chuan became more determined to defend justice and punish criminals. He participated in the investigation of many cases and gradually grew into an outstanding representative of the criminal investigation team in Zhongchang.

The criminal investigation profession needed to cultivate new talents. Cao Zhongshu, a criminal technology expert specially invited by the Zhongchang Provincial Public Security Department, was impressed by Qin Chuan's talent and concentration. The chief criminal investigation expert Wu Yingde accepted Qin Chuan as his apprentice after strict inspection. In the process of solving difficult and serious cases, Wu Yingde, Cao Zhongshu, Qin Chuan, Tao Weizhi, Li Wen, Zhao Fei and other three generations of criminal police worked together to train a group of more modern and professional young criminal investigation police officers through actual combat. The persistence and dedication of the front-line criminal police to their criminal investigation profession also influenced the next generation, passing on the torch of the police spirit.
