[SPOILER] Fez & Straight Up Advice

Only anti-cubes...... that is genius. When i read that suggestion i was genuinely intrigued. I had no idea whether that would actually do anything and unfortunately it didn't. Today i got on and saw that someone actually succeeded in only getting anti cubes and was very impressed, FraustDogger's the guy or gal who got it done.

I understand from this thought that riddles don't seem to work very well, in regards to helping figure out solutions, so far all in regards to the monolith, and even the ones Phil put in, extremely abstract but tangible.

When i first put in the code to make the black monolith appear i was a bit confused, i expect that the third heart piece would appear but alas Renaud and Phil had a grander puzzle than that. I spent a day trying to figure it out. Eventually i succumbed to the urge to Google the solution. nothing. after a few days of checking there it was. Someone had done it. it was in a gaming site article that i skimmed through and was surprised that it was done through brute force. i entered the code and there it was the heart piece. But Why? How?

After about two months most people had given up on those questions, as did I. There seemed to be no real explanation, many even believed brute forcing the code was the solution. So i and many others stopped playing fez.

Around 3 months ago I had the urge to play fez again, maybe it was Antichamber that pulled me back into a puzzle solving mood. I checked to see if anyone had yet pulled together a solution, and believe me i looked everywhere. people had the most ingenious ideas that one would expect would lead to somewhere. nowhere, sigh. so i started playing, looking, thinking, reading Reddit and GameFAQs.

Logic is a silly thing.

There's always the feeling, when trying to discern an answer to a question. I'm almost there, oh maybe this, this must be it. We construct rules based on systems that are in place and that usually works. One always expects similar mathematical equations to have similar properties. THERE IT IS ( this is not a riddle or clue just an abrupt piece to move onto the main point)

(I'm going to shift tone here a bit and move on to advice)

Take this as you may, i expect most people to blow this off as a lie as is the way of the internet.

When i figured out the How? that was awesome. im pretty sure someone must also have figured it out more likely many. if someone just explained it there is no real value to that. that is why riddles.

Onto Advice:

MY BIGGEST THINGS, I'M LOOKING AT YOU, DON'T GO IN REVERSE & DON'T TRY TO SOLVE IT THROUGH LOOKING AT CODE;. these wont work, code strictly reverse engineering the puzzle from the solution, as i see it, would be near impossible.

Second, There are many things that were never used in other puzzles, check them out. as many have stated here: the world of FEZ is dense and compact with information( in the world, the music, the buildings, the pictures)

Third, The other heart cube puzzles, the binary stars and the security question. How where the solved? both resolved around those things, the stars & the question. both had solutions fairly relate-able. for the stars its more a feeling coupled with a knowledge of astronomy terminology, binary stars, and knowledge of binary. for the question its more simple if you've solved the language just translate and solve the riddle.

Lastly, Their are some GREAT solution ideas that I've read. some look at a picture and see things never seen, others examine whats been found and find something new. However often people contrive this grand scheme that the puzzle is massive. An intangible behemoth with thousands of paths leading to the solution, sorry for the hyperbole i love writing. No. (sort of) Things are never as difficult as they seem. keep it simple at first until you've really got something.

REALLY lastly(sorry i lied :p) I recommend that You Guys and Gals should really dig into the world, try to screenshot every bit of it and get into one place. I could see that helping a lot.

That's all i got, Sorry for this long Essay like piece of idiocy ; I really tried to keep it short :).
