20M, what do I need to do differently to gain the interest of women?

I am a twenty year old guy, almost twenty-one, and currently a college student studying to become a counselor. While I study, I work part time at UPS, loading semi trucks. It’s just manual labor, but it pays really well and has great tuition assistance. I don’t have my own place, but I am actively working towards my future.

As for my appearance, I have fairly attractive features, mid-length dirty blond hair, blue eyes, and a fairly muscular build. I am still overweight, having lost 110lbs over the past year, sitting at 250lbs right now. I am continuing to lose weight, but right now my build is kind of similar to like a linebacker, where I have broad shoulders and large arms and legs, but still have a stomach, although my pecs stick out further. I dress in style, although I am having a harder time looking nice in this colder part of the year, because I don't fully understand how to dress in warmer clothes yet. I also make very sure to always smell nice and take very good care of my hygiene. I don't use cologne, but I always use deodorant and I style my hair with a cream that people always say smells very nice.

As for my personality, it's a bit hard to describe. I am pretty confident but I can be a little bit awkward, as I have ADHD and sometimes when I get excited I stumble over my words a little bit. I am generally a super positive guy, very nice to everyone, and always smiling no matter the situation. That isn't intentional, it's just who I am. I always light up when I see people I care about. I am sure that I can come across as over-enthusiastic, so I try to tone it down around the people who aren't the ones that are the closest to me. I'm not super witty but I am pretty intelligent, I never have any trouble understanding any of the classes I take, and I excel in both learning new content and helping any classmates who need help to understand. When I interact with others I never talk down to anyone or treat them like they're dumb. I am also pretty good at reading people and picking up on nonverbal cues. Overall, I basically succeed at everything I do without much trouble, except for romantic relationships (I have never really had a real one).

Despite that, I still tend to be a bit more on the nervous side. I never like play the chase with women, because growing up as an overweight guy, I absolutely respected that no means no, no matter how small the topic was. When you're an unattractive dude, being called a creep or worse is a terrifying possibility, so if I am ever rejected, I don't pursue it further because of the habits I have built along my life.

Even though now I am much better than I was two years ago, I still have fat in my face and body, and while I am still losing, I have another 60lbs to go before I would be considered normal weight. I really do put a lot of emphasis on dressing well, being clean and smelling clean, and treating others well, but I still have trouble finding any women that have interest in me whatsoever. I have had online female friends who saw me after I lost weight and asked to be fwb over the internet, but I am not really interested in that kind of thing. I am really looking for an in-person genuine relationship with someone who I can care about and genuinely call my partner. With all this in mind, what steps to I need to take towards finding someone to love?

Side note: dating apps are not working. Because im in the process of losing weight, all old pics are a no go, as I was super overweight, and when I do new stuff and we do take pics, within a couple months those are outdated too, so I don’t ever really have many current pictures I can use. So, I’m never really able to build up an actual profile, and I have a suspicion that even if I did, I would have very few matches.
