The Hike up to the Avvocata Sanctuary on the Amalfi Coast
This is one of the most scenic hikes on the Amalfi Coast. And also one of the most underrated. Not as famous as the Path of the Gods, this route remains a hidden gem. Locals often come here for religious pilgrimages, on special days like Pentecost.
The sanctuary sits at an altitude of 876 meters, above Maiori. The Mount Falerzio peak is 1014 meters.
If you take on this hike, you’ll be rewarded with a 360-degree view of the Amalfi Coast. From the peak you can see the Bay of Salerno, the coastline of Cilento, and the peaks of the Lattari Mountain Range.
