NC Success Story
Wanted to provide some hope for those who are struggling in no contact because I know how hard it can be.
My bf and I went no contact immediately after he broke up with me. We didn’t have an angry breakup and the love was still very much there but it didn’t make things any less painful. I didn’t want the break up but he was dealing with so much between depression, medical issues, and his job. He also refused to label things for the first year we were together which was always a sore point during the first part of our relationship.
We were no contact for 2 months and it was really hard. I wanted to break it everyday but I kept myself busy, focused on work, and continued therapy. Of course, I cried everyday and felt like shit but I continued to push on. I saw on social media that he was partying a lot and that obviously really hurt. It totally seemed like he was happy and didn’t care.
He eventually ended up reaching out and we slowly began to rebuild things. He asked me to be his girlfriend officially and said he had made the biggest mistake of his life. During the two month break he told me how much he struggled and that going out was the only way he could try and fill the void. He said he thought about me every single day and had secretly hoped I’d reach out.
It’s now been another year since no contact and we are stronger than ever. It took a lot of honest communication, trust, and intentional work but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The space between us made our love stronger so in some ways I’m thankful for those 2 months of no contact.
Its difficult but sometimes very needed. ♥️
I was reminded that everything is not always as it seems and if things are meant to be, they will be.
