Ideological compatibility matters

In recent Atul Subhash s su!cide case..if you read his letter you'l know he was a total conservative. His wife on the other hand was a feminist, following feminist literature. probably a liberal.

The political/ideological incompatibility probably doomed the marriage from the start. The sad part is this is unnecessary. Too many people on either side, underestimate the seriousness of ideological incompatibility. You can't live with someone whose core beliefs are repulsive to you.

Doesn't matter if they belong to the same caste, class, religion or profession. . The difference in worldviews is almost unbridgeable. Marriage is hard enough as it is, you don't want to make it harder. Luckily it's not hard to identify the incompatibility. If you / your parents are a conservative, marrying a liberal feminist is a stupid, lose-lose proposition.....similarly a strong independent feminist deserves better. So do you and your parents.

Of course Ideological compatibility wont guarantee good outcomes in marriage....but maximizing compatibility reduces the probability of bad outcomes and makes the experience of adjusting to each other easier.
