This game is frustrating the hell out of me

GT7

I hope this post doesn't get deleted because I'm not trying to troll or be negative for the sake of it (but I understand if it does get deleted) but my experience with this game so far have been frustrating as hell and I need to vent. I haven't played a Gran Turismo game since PS2 as I switched to Xbox 360 of Forza but I am not an Xbox fanboy and own both an Xbox and PS5. So i decided to splurge the other day and get a PSRV2 and copy of GT7 because that seems like an amazing experience. And it was (and still is) and I am having an absolute blast when driving and I don't have many complaints about that. But everything else about this game seems to needlessly complicated, especially compared with Forza (which seems much more intersted in letting you race). All the people popping up with long walls of text to read (not to mention the god aweful video at the start you can't skip).

I completed the first three raced from the menu book and went back to the cafe and spoke to the guy but then nothing happened and there were no more races available so I thought I had to do some licence tests. I assumed not all of them (as that's how I member it being in the old days) but nothing was getting unlocked, even after completing my Super Licence. Eventually after going back to the cafe (and spending some time online trying to figure out what was wrong) it looks like I just didn't wait long enough at the screen showing the three cars I won in the first even for the first menu item, then eventually it told me to complete my B licence (Which I had already done). I'm sure if I read the text more carefully I might have not made this mistake but there was just so much text at the begining when all I wanted to do was race and test out the VR. Hopefully the game will get less frustating now and even will all my complaints I think the fact that I can play it in VR means this will definately be my favourite over Forza (but without the VR I'd never touch it again).

Sorry for complaining (or possibly repeating things others have said already) but I needed to let it out
