Roach Remedies

Hey fam - would love your expertise a roach issue. We wake up to a dead American cockroach at least 3-4 times a week, but now are waking up to a live one more often (including on the kitchen counter today, thus this cry for help).

We live in an old rental house near-ish to Zilker Park. We have an old (rotting) wood deck out back. We have a crawl space under the house.

We spray quarterly inside and outside and had a big spray under the house recently, but we’re still seeing roaches (and alarmingly more live ones).

Any home remedies y’all like? Any good prevention tips? etc. I’ve got young kids in the house, so stuff on the ground worries me a bit, and we do tend to have standing water around sinks due to all the bottle cleanings.

I know there are lots of roach posts, but I appreciate y’all’s help on this one. I’m disgusted and worried about the kiddos. Thanks!
