Next Book Covers Theory

Alright, so first things first, I did a little research, and we currently don't know how many books Kaiju no 8 will have, but if I had to warrant a guess, possibly 20. It is also almost guaranteed that we will be getting Kafka on the 20th. Going off of that, the past couple of book covers we have gotten have shown off the main/secondary characters with their personal suits and weapons. Based on that info, I believe that book 15 will or has to be Mina, and then 16-17 or 17-18 will feature Iharu with his shotgun, Reno with his cannons, and then a third Kikoru cover, not necessarily in that order. It is also possible and likely that we could have another Kafka cover somewhere in between those since he is the main character.

Now for the crack theories. I believe that book 19 will be the second Mina cover, after book 15. The reason is that the Primary characters (Kafka, Ichikawa, and Kikoru) get 3, with Kafka possibly having 4. Then, the secondary characters (IMO(Hoshina, Narumi, Mina, and Iharu)) will get 2, and lastly, the supporting characters (Haruichi, Aoi, and technically Isao) get 1. Now, as for what the second Mina cover could be, with the first likely being her default suit since that is what all the characters start with (excluding Kafka and Isao). I think that the 2nd cover could be, likely, her with her cannon and helmet goggles or, mind the crack, a new numbers weapon that has been synced with her. This new #'s weapon could be number 7 (since 3 and 5 are used by northern division members) that was recently found to be compatible with Mina (sometime before the 2nd/3rd waves) and only deployed as a last-ditch effort to beat no 9.

I know the no 7 suit theory is unlikely, but I think it could be cool if Mina got a numbers weapon. Another option, but kind of even less likely, is that after the final battle, Kafka is forced to remain as kaiju, but he eventually makes the decision to turn into a sentient numbers weapon, like no 10, that is only compatible with Mina. This would allow him to continue at Mina's side, while also enhancing Mina's long-range destructive capabilities and close-range combat skills.

Thanks for reading all this if you made it to the end. I know most of the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs are unlikely, but I think that the first paragraph is almost guaranteed, IMO. One last point is that since it does seem like the manga might be wrapping up, it is possible we end on book 16 being a Kafka cover since there has been a Kafka every 8 books. If that is the case, I still think it is likely we get a Mina cover as book 15.
