Yeah exercise doesn’t do shit when it comes to fixing the insomnia

Im basically an athlete, i longboard a shit ton, hit the gym 5-6 times a week and regularly run half marathons and i also wear shirts and shorts in freezing temperatures and do cold exposures and shit so i push myself to the limits.

Ive quit weed since tuesday, first 40 hours i couldn’t sleep at all, then 3 nights of falling asleep at 5-6 am and getting about 5 maaaaybe 6 hours of very shitty sleep, well this evening i ran a half marathon and its now 6 AM and am wide awake….. this insomnia sucks man and its by far the worst withrawal symptom since i would always smoke a shit ton before sleep and ten sleep for like 10 hours at a time Ive had trouble with insomnia all my life, weed was the most wonderful cure(apart from all the other disastrous mental health consequences) and when i quit the insomnia comes back 10 fold. Not the type of insomnia of oh it takes a few hours to fall asleep and i wake up a lot, no just comeplete sleepless nights of total insomnia in the first weeks of quitting.

Its sucks because im passionate about the gym and want to gain muscle and my training and diet has been better then ever in my life but offcourse without proper sleep 90% of that goes to shit….

Just here to vent,

cheers
