Am I getting silently fired?
I’ve been a partner for a little over six months now and my timeline has been all over the place, so I’m not really sure what SB policy is when it comes to schedules, time-off, and related things.
It is my understanding that the company has a 12 hour/week minimum for scheduled hours, but for the last six weeks or so I’ve been scheduled for only four hours, mainly doing non-coverage as well for clean-play.
While holidays can be can of confusing scheduling wise because of people either wanting less or more hours or time off, I still don’t get why my manager would be scheduling me so little; it makes me think this is just a way to “silently fire” me so they won’t have to deal with actually firing me.
I will say, my manager is new(ish). On a technicality, she isn’t, since she was a manager for a short time before taking a leave— but that leave was a year long. If this was just confusion with the software and arrangements for schedules I’d totally get it since my availability is weird (I am still in school and have another part time job).
I’d fully excuse the scheduling weirdness if I hadn’t brought it up to her when it had first happened. She said she’d get it figured out, but since then my schedule has remained essentially the same.
What should I do? I really don’t want to leave this job, through quitting or firing, but this whole situation is really starting to frustrate me.
