Animal Abuse At 602 Basrop
Unacceptable Experience at 602 in Bastrop, Texas
I had an extremely disappointing experience at 602 in Bastrop, Texas. My party and I were enjoying our time until we noticed a dog in clear distress — ears down, whining, and frantically moving around. There was no sign of the owner, and the loud band made the situation even worse for the dog. We decided to move the dog away from the noise to help, which seemed like the right thing to do given the circumstances.
Shortly after, the dog’s owner confronted us, and we calmly explained our concern and why we were trying to help. We thought the situation was resolved, but one week later, after spending over $140 that night, we were told we were no longer welcome at the restaurant. This was a shocking and unfair response.
While I’m confident that our actions were completely justified, I do suspect there were other issues at play between my party and the establishment. Regardless, it’s clear that the management, ownership, and service at 602 are cool with condoning this mistreatment of an innocent animal. Instead of addressing concerns professionally, they chose to use our genuine attempt to help an animal as an excuse to ban us.
Unfortunately, I will not be returning to a place with such poor management and customer service.
