Tree knocked over, curious what potential concerns we should have and next steps?
Tree got knocked over by wind, landed on the power to our house but never completely broke. City and Power came out to remove tree and fix the cable at the pole. They said the neutral was damaged/broken and were surprised we didn't lose power or have any noticeable issues. They said we must have a good ground.
Anyway, curious what things we could consider going forward, if anything. The tree put a lot of pressure on the cable, could it have somehow damaged the line going in from our roof to breaker box? Would the city/power company have somehow tested to ensure we had a proper connection from our meter/box to the grid?
Again, power was never lost during this event, however I did turn the main off just to be safe until they completed repairs (at the pole).
