advice on cheap kits/learning??

HELLO everyone i havent played the drums before and really wanna play

for reference I'm a teenager and want drums for my birthday or christmas, preferably edrums so i can not wake my baby brother up from naptime but it's whatever's cheapest, acoustic/electric etc

i would save up for it myself but every time i bring up obtaining a work permit my dad shuts it down and my family needs their money for home repairs, so i have no real way to practice

i really love music and currently do vocals and make music on my computer but i want to play drums,i was wondering if anyone has any advice on diy drums or a way to get them CHEAP (currently going to make a simple one out of duct tape just to tide me over until im allowed to get a job)

(i also found a very very broken yamaha dd50, which I'm planning on repairing, if anyone has advice for that)

wishing you all the best :)
