Should I upgrade my cpu to only intel 10th or 11th gen or do a motherboard swap for amd cpu

i currently have a asrock b560m-c motherboard and intel i3 10105f. my motherboard only supports 10th or 11th gen intel cpus, and i want to upgrade my cpu and get the most bang for your buck. intel 11 gens are more expensive for less performance. and i also saw that amd is usually the best for mid tier systems. i am not great at building computers so i see a motherboard swap as a terrible idea. should i just stick with the intel and buy an upgraded 10 or 11 gen or should i motherboard swap for an amd chip? please help
