JJ's episode is the best episode [SE4E6]

JJ's episode is probably my favorite episode of the entire series so far. The brotips from Cook, JJ flirting with all the nice old women, asking Lara out over intercom before Thomas. I always overlooked JJ as a major character in the series but I honestly think Seasons 3 and 4 wouldn't have been nearly as well rounded without him! New favorite character by far.

Damn I love this show.

I really liked JJ's episode. His relationship with his mother is really interesting (rapping in the car, the ways she tries to cope with him, the way he tries to protect her), to say nothing of his dad. JJ tries really hard with Lara, and Albert, and it's really sweet.

I didn't like the timing of this episode, because it took away from the storyline I wanted to see more of, but I wish we saw more of JJ and Lara too.

Yeah, episode 7 is all kinds of messed up. The Unseen Skins bit for Effy this season is rather horrifying: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrH5PNlOcng

I'm pretty new at posting and don't know how to use spoiler tags, I don't want to ruin it for anybody else haha. Try a google search! :)

I like it because it gives you a sense of happiness before episode 7 and 8 when everything gets like mega dark and really emotional.

I think Ollie Barbieri (who plays JJ) is one of the best actors ever in skins. The writing for his character also helps that. I know a few people with autism and he just acts out the mannerisms perfectly. When walking he puts his hands to his side as if he doesn't know what to do with them, whereas most people would put them in their pockets or fold their arms. He also clenches his fingers while walking and flicks them around a bit. It's the small things like that which made me respect his performance.

I never noticed that before but you're totally right, he definitely does. It's a shame that him and Lara don't have more of a story line.

JJ's season 3 episode is one of my favorite episodes of the series. The final scene where his mom is just smiling while he laughs and talks with Emily at the dinner table is one of the most touching things skins has ever done.

I love the subtle kindness they show each other every since they slept together. It's adorable. :)
