What is the allure of golf?

I’m on a voyage to understand the allure of golf to a certain sect of American society. I started living in NYC over a year ago for grad school and I see lots of guys with golfing pictures in their profiles and I don’t get it. Their arms are so sexy and yet golf doesn’t seem that demanding but clearly I’m missing something here.

I’m so curious as to what it all means. Part of my soul needs to know what goes through someone who golfs because I don’t get it. Am I just too dumb to understand or is there something else at play? I’m genuinely perplexed and I would like to leave this Earth having at least watched one golf swing live but too afraid to approach the golf bros even on Tinder because I don’t know anything and I’m fairly certain they’re all out of my league anyway. That doesn’t take away from me wanting to know what it’s like though because I’m a curious cat. (Or should I say I’m a curious caddy… …)
