The fact that humans evolved so much to the point where racism/bigotry/war/etc exist is actually really remarkable
As someone who's interested in evolution, it actually blows my mind. BILLIONS of years of evolution, from tiny single-celled bacteria to complex animals, lead to this point.
We're literally monkeys that learned how to talk and walk, and how we hate and bomb each other over completely abstract constructs like race, religion, and nationality.
From an outsider's perspective (think an alien), it's actually really remarkable. I'm unironically proud of us for progressing so far to the point where we now hate each other for no real reason. Other animals can't even recognize themsleves in the mirror, but us? We're smart as fuck. And we hate each other for it.
