My friend just rejoined Christianity and I don't know how to feel

So, I've known this guy for ten years. His girlfriend is part of the lgbt community, but is also a Jehovah's Witness. I've never had any issue with him. Now he is randomly a Christian again.

I'm not TOO worried he'll be one of those types to be anti-gay, but it is so bizarre seeing him worship an entity. He just isn't a type. I asked why and he said

"Just kinda kept searching and searching for what felt the best during a rough period and after getting back around to Christianity abd actually diving deep into it and studying and praying sincerely I started to feel a lot better and havent been anxious much anymore and worry a lot less. Since I have started getting back in and diving deeper I have felt better and better personally"

I mean, I'm glad he's happy. I just worry the darker aspects of Christianity will bleed into him one day.
