Carrier Calls Suck

vpl

For reference: my store got rid of all VPL positions about a year ago. I am the only person in my store who is adept enough at mobile to take care of things within the mobile umbrella.

Today I had to call Verizon about an error code that would not allow me to access the customer's account. Long story short, I spent over an hour on the phone with Verizon, had them pitch a new plan to my customer against mine and the customer's wishes, just for them to tell me at the end that they needed to go to a Verizon corporate location anyway. Wasted over an hour of mine and the customer's time for nothing.

I genuinely wish the company would just get rid of mobile upgrades altogether. Every time you have to call the carrier you end up on hold for longer than you actually talk to a rep, and it always ends up either being a super simple fix or an issue that can't be taken care of by best buy. It is absurd to me to expect regular sales people to do these things while also tackling every other department.

Either have dedicated mobile reps or get rid of activations, it's really that simple.
