Need solution for backhauling signal from remote area (without the budget for RF)
Problem: video coverage of a racing event that uses cell bonding for the mobile cameras but goes into a cellular black hole for 1 mile of the 13 mile course.
Looking for solution(s) to cover the mile length with camera(s) and get signal back to mobile unit. Ideal would be to find a way to eliminate the loss of signal with the bonding units to keep those cameras working.
Other relevant info:
- do not have the budget for real RF (i.e. planes, helicopters)
- black hole section is a winding road that has pretty dense tree coverage (likely contributing to the lack of cell signal), so using a drone won't likely solve. Mobile Starlink likely also affected by this.
- there is internet service to customers (residential, religious) along the section, however being rural it is about 500-1,000 ft between each of these drops.
Given that there is internet along the entire mile route, is there a way to (affordably) create a kind of mesh network the cell bonding packs can use? (I'm way out of my depth with wireless IP so forgive my ignorance.)
