Gap Year

Hey,
I have decided to take a gap year and give a couple of more attempts for SAT in this year,
what all should i do in this gap year to enhance my portfolio/application ( btw, i am an overseas us citizen ) to increase my chances to get into MIT or any other reputed university
I wanted to pursue CS (BS) though

Any insights provided shall be appreciated
