Stuck on everything

Sorry for the vague title, but I'm only on week 1 and I've watched the section video, main lectures, 3 videos on Mario on YouTube and one on cash. Cash seems simple enough and that I could understand after watching the video, however, even after finishing Mario (less) with the help of YouTube and the section video, I'm still lost. It's like I don't know what any of it means no matter how many times I try to grasp it, I can't apply it. People say the best way to learn how to code is to practice, but I can't practice without understanding what I'm reading. Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated!
