What happened to the American Libertarians?

About two decades ago the political internet -from the ancient sosial media (like yt) to the old fashioned forums- and conservative talk radios were full of libertarian/anarcho-capitalist propaganda. But in recent years it seems that this trend has been irrevocably gone, basically since Ron Paul's retirement.

My question is where did this mass of formerly committed ibertarians head? Did they go for Trump? Did they become mainstream liberals? Did they become apolitical?
