KCU Joplin vs Campbell (CUSOM) vs VCOM VA?

I need help! I have been accepted into these three and off the bat, I had been towards KCU bc of its established reputation and h/p/f but I definitely need input. I am interested in psychiatry and am a NC resident (Raleigh).

Please also give reasons as to why you feel a certain school, any insight will be greatly appreciated and feel free to let me know any additional pros/cons! Thank you so much :-)

KCU Joplin-

Pros:

  • original 5 so established program, good alumni network
  • great match rates
  • h/p/f
  • nonmandatory attendance
  • good rotation sites at Mercy Hospital and Freeman Hospital

Cons:

  • Joplin is quite rural, not used to it, and far from things like nice restaurants, diverse food, city etc

  • far from home

  • no student-led clinic in Joplin campus

  • unsure about how good research opportunities will be

Campbell-

Pros:

  • I think great match rates
  • nonmandatory attendance
  • close to home and nearby cities
  • good rotation sites around NC
  • student-led clinic

Cons:

  • core classes graded

  • newer school

VCOM VA-

Pros:

  • I loved the partnership with Virginia Tech and the overall area seemed nice

  • seems to have a lot of research opportunities

  • 3/4 hr drive from home

Cons:

  • graded
  • 70% mandatory attendance
  • have seen more negative buzz about it online
