Lost power during bios update. Now trying QFlashPlus. Not working…
Hello, this is very frustrating but here it is. I was updating my bios because of an audio issue which the audio manufacturer said to update the bios to fix issue. After loading the update in the bios and the computer display turned off, I lost power.
After power came back, I turn the computer on and get no display but the fans and everything appear to be running fine. After a while I can hear the windows opening sound from my speakers. Yet still no display.
So this is when I decide that the bios is probably corrupted and I’m fucked. Until I find out you can flash a new bios version onto the mobo using QFlashPlus. So I download the latest bios update on a USB like before (file named GIGABYTE.bin) (formatted fat32) First I try to use the q flash with everything installed, then everything except gpu, then everything but m.2 then without m.2. To no avail.
The QFlashPlus light flashes quickly for a while and the usb read light flashes, the computer turns on (fans etc) then it just stays on until the QFlashPlus light turns off and continues to stay off. I figure it’s done flashing so I try to turn the computer off then back on and I still have no display.
Im not sure what to do at this point. Nothing I’ve read online works.
My specs
AM4 3700X
Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro Ax Rev 1.0
32gb RAM
3070ti
2X M.2 plus 2X 2.5” SSD
Additional info : I want to add that my bios was the first one that shipped with the board in 2020. I originally was trying to update to the latest 2024 one but now I’m trying to flash it back to an older version that still isn’t the same as my previous. My next attempt will be trying to flash to the version that I was running. My version the computer was running on was F1 and I’ve tried updating to F20 and F10. Currently trying F1 but still no luck
The situation still seems to be that I cannot get the computer to post to my monitor just so I can see the bios.
