Got friends(?) but I am not in any friend group to hang around with

(M18) I got friends but I am not in any friend group they are also in and we don't hang out by ourselves either.

I was in one of those friend groups in the past, but a few of my non-friends from in there didn't like me hanging out with them and they stopped inviting me. I still talk outside of school with the rest sometimes, and if one of them is to be having some activity that others cannot deny me being present, like a birthday party, then they invite me too. But this situation has been going on for some months now and I cannot manage to make the rest like me.

The other people from school I am friends with we don't have a friend group together at all, and we only hung out a few times when we first met, but now we only talk at school and occasionally online. I have no idea if any of them actually like me or are just being nice to me until school ends (we are in 12th grade). From about 20 people I call "friends", there are only 2 that I know in fact are true ones.

Some of my male friends that play games hop online with me to hang around on calls and game together, but even on Christmas and New Year's Eve no one invited me anywhere, even though everyday they were out or at someone's house (some of them have BeReal and I saw them from their posts). How do I even figure out which ones actually fw me? Like I can't just ask them directly, no one would say to another person "no we don't like you hanging out with us" and it would just be uncomfortable.
