Requests for Subnautica 2 / Mods

World

  1. Stupid Leviathans. One big thing I loved about Subnautica was that I could use the environment to protect myself from most large carnivores. I could hide or park my Seamoth from Crabsquid in a Bulb's tethers, I could hide in the branches of Lost Forest, in the ruins of the Aurora.
  • But in BZ everywhere that had notable predators you could avoid, like geyser fields or volcanic forest, didnt have enough ground cover or caves to hide in, nor caves large enough to park the seatruck in. And everywhere else, like lillypads and purple caves, had predators so flexible that cover wouldn't matter or who's hitbox was so large they would pull you out of hiding!
  • Let me be the little guppy hiding in the reef!
  1. More variety in small decorative flora, especially in how they sit in the planter by having more 1x1's 1x2's and 1x3's.

  2. More flora that is active. BZ did a great job of this, but there could be so much more. Protective anemones, food catchers, resource processors, carnivorous plants... there's so much possibility!

Bases

  1. More combinable rooms, and more flexibility in how they combine.
  • Specifically I'm talking about more combinability of the Alien Containment Unit, such as connecting 3 ACU's in a single Large Room to make a single long ACU, with vertical combinability to make a large C or X shape.
  • But I'm also talking about scaling the Large room. Large rooms are 3windows by 4 windows normally, and we can make a single 2-story large room by stacking them, but we could overlap them laterally to make a single 4window by 4 window? Or 3x7?
  1. More flexible planter UI.
  • Allow us to move around mature plants. Make planters have odd area so we can fill the space around large plants with those 1x1's and 1x2's i mentioned earlier.
  1. Some kind of minecart-esque rail, whether as a floor item or as a whole corridor, that can make transit through larger bases more interesting.
  • Ideally with a glass option, and allowing full Look control while in motion. Bonus points if there's ramp options to change elevation, and even better if there are upside-down options to allow for whole Rollercoasters.

I'm sharing this because I do really want to see these, but I don't have discord, or Twitter, or Instagram, or most other socials to communicate with the Devs, so reddit it is.
